Founded in 2014, Drygate started as an experiential brewery and creative hub. Our Tap Room opened in 2016 focussing on casual dining, small batch beer and live events. Today our philosophy remains the same: our beer is well crafted, and we take this art seriously, so our customers don’t have to. This Retro IPA’s flavour profile is inspired by classic beers like Lagunitas IPA, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Anchoir Steam. The brand echoes this in its reference to other retro media, such as 8-bit games and music, and lo-fi music promo (black, white and red gig posters). NOSE- Light floral and citrus aromas, with hints of resin and lime. PALATE- Cut wood, pithy, subtle biscuit, and an aggressive bitterness. FINISH- Resin adds depth to the light, dry mouthfeel. HOP- Centennial, Herkules.
